And, in typical Google Ads fashion, the answer is:

The best way to figure out how long it will take to start getting members with your ads is to reverse-engineer the process from your end goal of bringing in a new member. 

Think of it this way…

New member → Number of tours it took to get that member → Number of leads it took to get those tours → Number of clicks it took to get those leads → How much budget it cost to get those clicks 

This will give you an idea of what your budget should be—and this can inform the rest of the process.

We can bring this example to life by flipping it around and applying some hypothetical numbers. 

$1,00 monthly budget → $1.50 per click on your ads → 100 clicks to get a tour = $150 cost per tour → 1 in 5 tours becomes a member → cost per member = $750

So, with your $1,000 budget, you can expect to get approximately 1 new member every three weeks. 

It’s important to understand that: 

  1. These numbers are theoretical  
  2. Your numbers will vary depending on your location, the competition in your market, the services you offer, and more
